She was hyped up for awhile with a cackling laugh that echoed the arenas whenever her video package played. Kharma was not your typical Diva. It just said that she broke down. Assuming that Kia Stevens—the woman behind the Awesome Kong and Kharma characters—is actually that good an actress to produce real tears—and from what I've seen so far, I'm inclined to think she is—it could very well be that she's playing a part with great grace. Kharma is one of the few personalities in WWE that gets me shooting off my couch and cheering loudly in my living room.
If she were to be having real problem performing, I would be heartbroken. However, I have not heard anything to corroborate that, so I'm going to assume that was a planned situation: that Kia Stevens, as Kharma, went to the ring and intended to be surrounded by Divas and begin crying. From an literary, it takes an exceptionally interesting character to initially show the lack of feeling it takes to demolish all life around them, and then break down into tears over something fairly minuscule.
If anything, Kharma crying on Raw shows fathoms of depth! Fans complain about guys like Drew McIntyre because he's barely done anything to show much depth. Kharma hasn't been on the show for very long, but already we've seen her laugh, we've seen her cry, we've seen her writhe with joy over obliterating what we think she hates. I'm not ignoring that possibility, and although I don't think those things immediately, WWE has forced me to acknowledge them. Kharma could be secretly jealous of the Divas and want to be "pretty" like them. Everyone in wrestling is lucky to have had her. Impact Wrestling. When is Full Gear ? Upon signing with WWE at the end of , I wished Kia Stevens congratulations and good luck on landing her dream job , noting how she was such an odd fit for a company full of Cindarellas and her past personal problems, including a rumoured suicide attempt and bizarre backstage fight with Bubba The Love Sponge that caused her to leave TNA. Even taking that into account, no-one could have expected what happened over the next 18 months.
It all started so brightly. Being one of Triple H's key signings upon taking over talent development, she was quickly brought to the main roster and introduced in a series of vignettes as the menacing Kharma who played with then destroyed dolls while laughing maniacally. But before she even had her first match, the storyline had to be scrapped when she fell pregnant. To explain her absence Kharma broke down in the ring crying on the May 23rd Raw, before announcing her pregnancy on live television one week later.
