Where is mathosian shield

Summoned horror? Wasn't much of a name. Spawns near a dais up on a small hill against the western zone wall of thedeor fields. Thx the video helped a lot I'm going to go and spend another day trying to camp them now.

But yeah Jimbo I know what you mean I'm also a bit of a completion and the one thing I hate is when something becomes impossible to get. Apart from the 2 named mobs in the guardian camp and the other one hiding in the house Or am I missing any rares?

Oh I forgot about the Huntsmaster as well who spawns just before you head down to lastlight. Originally Posted by Ajhal. Never really leave the starter till Level There are some nice vanity pieces of gear that you get as drops by mobs so it does pay to kill as much as you can.

I was dead lucky yesterday cus the mayor popped up twice in the same spot and dropped the staff. I think I have found most items Just wish the guy in the burning building would give me the rare bit of chain again. When you go on the first floor you always hope the guy is crying for help Beware though the rare leather pants There is nothing like this beyond the starter. I definitely think the designers got the sack after the first zone. And I still don't really understand why Asha Catari is lying dead next to the catapult.

She is definitely alive in the Defiance starter area. My goodness does that lady dress well. Also noticed she pops up on a wardstone in Scarwood. Nearly killed me as I was drawn to go look at her, then the thing took a pop at me.

It's almost worth becoming defiant to be on her side. Originally Posted by Maeloda. She was a mortal mage and died in the original Mathosian battle not the starting zone time, but before that. Asha doesn't have soul and planar attunement etc, but she was given a portion of Regulos' power when in the Plane of Death, allowing her to be one of the best sword wielding mages on Telara.

The old timeline was that she was the only 'Ascended' of the Defiants, and then the Guardians steamrolled over Meridian after the Fall of Port Scion. The new Ascended that we play as, are 'full' Ascended with soul attunement, that come from that failed previous timeline. Asha is alive there as a sort of Ascended, and at the end of Terminus she uses some of the power originally given by Regulos, to fight him off while you enter the failsafe device. In that timeline she likely loses her strength, Regulos kills her, and the world is devoured.

Sidenote, there may be more Ascended created by Orphiel, as I don't know where Kira came from exactly. If he is creating Ascended, it is a more simple form, and it requires so much sourcestone that he must be very selective about who he brings back from death.

Whoever he brings back must be characters from the past, so dead characters from the Blood Storm Wars, Mathosian Civil War, Fall of Port Scion all would count, but I doubt that they can come back if they have been corrupted by Regulos. Asha did not succumb to Regulos after all that time, yet I haven't followed the complete story of Kira Thanos yet as I've only finished the Freemarch part.

Amazing that and really good reading. Asha is a way more interesting character than anything the Guardian have. One of the more interesting side plots of an MMO is the prospect of actually being taken prisoner by the opposing faction and given certain quests allowing escape. This way you could get to see these other characters and their city etc. I am Guardian and wouldn't stain my character with the Defiant so I am able only to have momentry glimpses of Asha.

Maybe one day we will meet in battle. Saying all that the best character in game is Alsbeth. I guess it is because she is a sorceress. She comes across as ever so slightly compassionate when she threatens, almost motherly. I doubt she would hesitate to destroy me if the plot allowed but every time we meet I just have to listen to everything said.

First was with the Hag in Gloamwood then in the cave in Scarlet Gorge, where she was classic, almost amused that you killed her undead help. Then again in Scarwood in a cave and then outside Hammerknell Fortress. Last time I saw her was floating above a Rift.

Amazing to think that she was a Guardian Still don't understand why she turned as she did. Anyway with 3 health I doubt I will be taking that lady on alone. Thanks for that. Page 1 of 2 1 2 Last Jump to page:.

Bookmarks Bookmarks Digg del. White-hot flame lanced from his fingers, sending charred chunks of Legionaries flying in all directions. Phynnious screamed at his assailant, exhaling waves of flame that burned the bow away.

The general drew his sword and charged through the flames. Two steps from Phynnious he stopped, a statue of solid ash. In the time of the Blood Storm, a witch doctor by the name of Talos Roda fled into the volcanic jungles of Aegea when his village was overrun by Dragonian minions of Maelforge. For days, he lay in a fever, his wounds festering and his life slipping away.

At the end of the fourth night, he found himself surrounded by flickering motes of flame, and the whispering spirits of his ancestors. The spirits promised him vengeance, all he need do is form a pact with them and become their conduit in the physical world. Upon agreeing to their terms, Talos found one of the motes of flames dancing in his hand. He touched it to his leg, and it closed the wound by burning away the infection. It was agony, but when the flames died, his leg had been fully healed.

His spiritual powers bolstered by the primal forces of fire, Talos returned to his village and descended upon its oppressors. Before anyone could react he unleashed a firestorm that engulfed the entire village in blistering flames. Miraculously, the fires that turned the Dragonians to ash did not harm the elves.

Like Talos before them, they found their wounds healed and their souls bolstered by the spirits of their ancestors. From that day forth, Talos and his people went on the offensive striving to break Maelforge's control over their lands. Such an amazing display of power has never been seen again, but many clerics have followed in Talos's footsteps, making pacts with spirits of flame. Known as Purifiers, these clerics draw forth the cleansing power of fire to heal, and the spiritual power of their ancestor to strike down all that threaten their way of life.

There is troubling news from the court of my brother, the king. He has always ruled Mathosia with an iron list, and in accordance with Mathos tradition I have not intervened in his affairs. He claims it is for the good of the people, and that he only wishes to make the kingdom stronger.

Now I am told he has unbanned the use of profane technology within the kingdom, and that he refuses to give worship to Thedeor, or any other god. This is certainly a break from tradition, but perhaps I am worrying over nothing. I have received several reports from the west today that Aedraxis's tyrannical rule is getting worse by the day.

They say he hungers for power as if it were an addiction, and that he has ordered all books on death rituals in the kingdom be brought to him personally. His advisors fear what he may be planning. If he continues to pursue such dangerous magic, I may need to step in after all. My brother has gone mad. I received a letter from the mayor of Ardenburgh, a small settlement on the eastern border, saying that Aedraxis has been preparing some sort of technomantic empowered ritual for the past several days outside of that town.

I fear for his people, my people. As I write this, I am on my way to meet him in battle to determine the fate of the west, and perhaps all of Telara. The Runeguard of the Dwarves has informed me that they are sending soldiers as well, and an Elvish contingent from the Silverwood was seen marching through Moonshade Highlands on its way west a few days past.

I only hope we are not too late. I have seen more tragedy this day than any man should have to witness in two lifetimes. We were able to mount an impressive force of Dwarves, Elves, and Mathosians against Aedraxis and his forces. As I stood with the archers, directing the attack, I was certain we would be victorious, for Thedeor was surely on our side. Then, I saw the Eth and Bahmi mercenaries from the south that had brought their technomancy to aid Aedraxis.

The army charged over the crest of the hill where my brother was performing his dark ritual. What I saw next I will never forget. The very sky opened up before him, and a great wave of death magic came pouring through. I could see the hallow eyes of Regulos, the Dragon of Extinction, staring through the void. The infantry was decimated almost instantly.

Carwin, Cyril, Borrin, and so many others who I called friend were swallowed up in that cloud of death. Of the leadership, I alone survived. Perhaps my brother was right, perhaps the gods have forsaken us. The cathedral at Ardenburgh was cold last night when I came here for shelter, but this morning it was filled with a warm light that I cannot describe here. Then I saw them; the dead returned. They are not undead abominations like those I saw on the battlefield.

These are the righteous fallen, reborn in this world by some indescribable miracle. Though I am in the midst of something grand, I am also plagued by a sobering reality. With the Ward broken, what will become of Port Scion? I must return there, and soon. These rifts will only grow more numerous in the coming days. I must not let what happened to Ardenburgh happen to my city. Tuesday, March 15, Amardis Mathos: Paladin. Durns: Ranger. This book is found near a destroyed cart, I came across it when I was doing the 'mathosian Inquistion' quest. Durns: Ranger The Elves have always shared a mystical bond with the beasts of Telara, but this ancient compact was sundered with the arrival of Greenscale and his faerie minions.
